Delete your Dostum SMS account & data

You can delete your Dostum SMS account and your data at any time — from inside the app, or by email. This page explains how, what is deleted, and what you may need to remove separately.

Quick summary. Open the app and go to Settings → Delete account to delete it yourself. Or email support@dostumamigo.com from the address on your account and we'll delete it within 30 days. Dostum does not store your SMS messages on its servers, so there is no message history for us to hold.

1. Delete it yourself, in the app

This is the fastest path.

  1. Open Dostum SMS and sign in.
  2. Go to Settings.
  3. Tap Delete account and confirm.

This permanently deletes your account immediately, and also wipes the app's on-device activity history and your saved destination on that device.

2. Or request deletion by email

If you can't open the app, email support@dostumamigo.com from the email address on your account. We'll delete your account within 30 days and reply to confirm.

3. What is deleted

  • Your Dostum account (email + sign-in credentials) on our authentication service.
  • The app's on-device activity history and saved destination on the device you delete from.

4. What is retained, and what you must delete separately

  • Dostum does not store your SMS messages on its servers, so there is no message history for us to hold or retain.
  • We do not retain your account data after deletion, except any minimal record legally required to evidence the deletion request (email requests only), kept no longer than necessary.
  • Emails already forwarded to your inbox stay with your email provider — delete them there separately.
  • Uninstalling the app does NOT automatically delete your account on our servers. Use Delete account (or the email request) to remove the account; uninstalling only removes local data from that phone.
